when you do a water chang should the new water that you put into the tank have the same ph as the water in the tank.

If the ph needs adjusting then it should be done in very small changes

the water should come from the same source each time if poss.A slight variation of ph will not kill the fish as a partial water change should not affect it too much.
Major changes in ph can lead to gill burning if dropped too quick, or osmotic shock if raised too quick.

Thanks Micky for that a slight variation of ph of water will not kill the fish. But how can we measure the ph value of water and how we can we adjust the ph of water if has changed. Have you any idea?

pH not ph (just a little pet hate)
the pH can be measured easliy with a testing kit available at all aquatic stores or online, this can be adjusted by using a commercial pH adjuster sush as PH-UP but these do contain phosphates, you can also adjust the pH by using a Reverse Osmosis sytem
