by feeding levels I do not mean the ammount of food added to the tank. When considering your different fish to add to the tank, bear in mind that there are bottom, middle and top feeders. If you manage to get all 3 into your stock then a perfect balance can be reached for mopping up all the food that is added.Top feeders are always recognised by a slightly upturned mouth, middle feeders and bottom feeders not so easy to recognise, always research.
As well as adding your bottom feeders, consider adding some shrimps and algae eating fish to keep your tank clean from algae and uneaten food.Apple snails do a great job of clearing up dead plant leaves
Get the balance right it will save a lot of time spent on tank maintenance.

Right. Unfortunately, many foods sink to the bottom very fast . This is why man should test various foods before selecting the best one for top feeders. Sera flakes seem to work well for me.

in my case I have just found a new supplier of flaked food which seems to linger for a while before sinking.Keeps them all happy as I add tetra prima anyway which sinks as soon as it hits the water
