They do that when they get scared. By the way, how high is your aquarium? I keep 9 of these beautiful species and my tank has 470 litres. I don’t keep other fish which swim at their swimming area... Only some plecos. BTW, maybe you could start a new tank with Angel fish only . They look terrific if kept in large planted tanks . I Angel fish!
