I'm a noob with pH problems

about all I know is my pH is too high for an angelfish (scalare) to thrive. it's at 7.6, I had it at 6.8 for a time but then when I added my fish it went back up. i've been trying to get it back down to 6.8 but it wont move back down. any help? Sponsored links
