I just got a 10 gallon aquarium for Christmas and I was wondering what fish I could put in there together without having them die or kill each other right away. The fish I was looking at were:

Neon tetras,
Goldfish,
Angelfish,
Betta,
Crab as the bottom feeder,

...and some kind of tank cleaner fish.

Could you tell me if the selections I have made are good or bad?

Hello,

At first, fish which I don’t recommend:

Goldfish
Angelfish

I also don’t recommend any Crab for such tank. 10 Gallons tank is too small for them (both, fish and crab).

Neon tetras are good, however I wouldn’t prefer them, since you’ll need at least 15 of them. They’re fish which do well in groups.

The only one fish which would do well in your tank is Betta. If you have enough hiding places, feel free to buy a female and male. Otherwise, male could kill female.

You could buy some Bristlenose catfish too, 4 of them would be good in the beginning.

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .
