:( when i stick my hand in to move around stuff or to syphon out water, he bites my hand. usually they were like little pecks, but today he bit trough the skin...made me bleed. anything i can do to safely continue water changes? also, this is only his 3 week in this tank and about a week ago ammonia was really a problem. if he is in good enough shape to make humans bleed, does that mean he is healthy? Use gloves, this usually works. Regarding ammonia: Even a sick fish can hurt... But fish usually get better after the level of ammonia is lowered/minimised. the developer of http://www.aqua-fish.net Yes, I am very busy. fraid that's the nature of the fish the fish is either mistaking your fingers for food or it thinks you are invading its territory,try adding a little stress coat or seachem prime to the water ,it might relax the fish.I have had my share of bites in the past and I am expecting to get a few more in the future http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
