Hi,I'm new to the breeding side of aquariums.I recently discovered that my Texas Cichlids, have bred some fry.
There are too many to count and they are now free swimming.
I see the mother, pick them up and what looks like, roll them around in her mouth and spit them back out.I see the father picking up fry, that have strayed from the brood and spit them back with the rest. What I'm worried about is when or if I should move the fry, because I know it's just a matter of time before mom and dad want to get busy again.I've heard that they may or will eat the fry to have another batch. Thanks any help would be appreciated!!

yes it's best to move the fry as soon as they are free swimming an make sure to feed them micro pellets twice a week. please dont over feed them!.

I agree, once the fry are free swimming they can be moved. Texas can be unpredictable so better not to take any risks if you want to grow on the young.
