Your best bet is smaller tetras, like neons, blues, cardinals etc. bottom feeders like corydora should be fine. barbs can be a little too boisterous, nipping at a betta, and never put a betta in with mollies since they have been known to nip and nip until the betta gets an infetion and dies.
