i just baught a black moor and a redcap. the redcap is from a different shop than the black but i put them in the tank at the same time and took all the necisarry precautions when putting them in [floating the bag on top and letting some of my tank water in the bag]. though when i put them the redcap went over to the rest of the fish but the black moor just sits there at the bottom region of the tank treading water and does'nt even come up to eat. whats happening, i suspected a rapid P.H change though thats all i can think of. i need help asap.

If the fish was acclimatised for the correct period of time then the ph should not be a problem.
What is your PH reading atm.
It does take some time for certain fish to settle in properly, anything up to a week before they get the confidence to come out in the open and feed normally.
Keep an eye on it, getting it to feed is the priority .

when i say he eventually came up to eat i mean he would'nt eat at all in the big tank, and when i put him in the little tank he just ate the flakes that sank. but he eventually came up to the surface to eat.
