After 4 weeks of quarantine add a fish from the main tank to the new arrivals.Leave them together for a week and if no problems add them all into the main tank. Safeguards like these are there for a reason, adding new fish without quarantine can wipe out all of your stock mickey 2008-06-02 Answer no. 1 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=quarantine-tanks#2 What are your recommendations for setting up a quarantine tank? meliss_cole 2008-06-03 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=quarantine-tanks#3 I use a 15 gallon tank that is run with sponge filters.Low lighting and no substrate.I always place a couple of rocks or some wood for a hiding place if the fish are still a bit skittish. When the tank is empty I just place the sponges in the externals on my main tank to keep them colonised with bacteria. mickey 2008-06-03
