Now we have the light on when we are home form work in the evenings, we were told a maximum of 8 hours a day. This advice is something I have not seen in any of the books or websites I have looked at. wendikins 2008-07-06 Answer no. 1 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=hello-wendikins-has-just-joined-#2 Welcome . Regarding lighting: Here are cool articles about fishkeeping, just open them:). This, for example, recommends something between 10-12 hours per day: http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=aquariumlighting. And some other articles about lighting are these: http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=fluorescentaquariumlighting http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=freshwateraquariumlighting And all articles are listed here: http://www.aqua-fish.net/index.php?cur_lang=2&count=no&secured=&section=41 last modification by jan jan 2008-07-06 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=hello-wendikins-has-just-joined-#3 welcome to the forum I am a great fan of bristlenoses I have 7 in my tank to give you some help with the lighting, in my planted tank I have the lights on for 10 hours, blues on for another 2 hours and then moonlights on all night,I find this makes for a more natural lighting ,when the moonlights are on the cories and bristlenoses come into their own. mickey 2008-07-07
