I have had them for about seven months in a seventy gallon aquarium. I was wondering how I would know when they are ready to spawn? Skippen 2008-09-01 Answer no. 1 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=white-skirt-tetras#2 When females are ready to breed, their bellies become bigger than usual - this is caused by eggs. But first spawns don't have to be successful since presence of eggs don't mean that fish reached adult age. You're saying that you keep them for 7 months. In my experience, fish which are sold in shops are 4-8 weeks old, so I suppose they're ready to spawn or they will be ready soon. jan 2008-09-01 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=white-skirt-tetras#3 If I were you, I would not hope that your tetras will bread... It is because you have only 5 of them and they need to be in shoal. I had even 10 black skirt tetras and they were too scared to breed. Only when I had 20 of them and had them in 300 liters big aquarim with lots of plants they breed. Elektra 2009-04-25
