I have an AQ3 56L aquarium with 3 Clown Loaches 4 Zebra Danio 6 Neon Tetra 5 Glowlight Tetra 3 Red Eye Tetra 1 Pleco I have recently had an Ich infection show up on most of my fish. I am currently treating with King British White Spot Control meds but am worried about my loaches. Some sites advise adding salt - can anyone tell me if this will harm my loaches? Have upped the temp in the tank to 28 degrees but not sure what else I can do??? Any help appreciated Caz1972 2008-10-23 Answer no. 1 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=hi-from-a-newbie-#2 increasing the temp is good, it will shorten the lifespan of the parasites. When you add salt it is only in a very small dose so your loaches should be fine.Finnish the course of white spot treatment first as you don't want to be trying two different things at once. mickey 2008-10-23 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=hi-from-a-newbie-#3 Thanks for the advice Mick. I'll persevere with the treatment and keep my fingers crossed!
