Was wondering what’s a good tap water conditioner. I’ve been paying for 5 gallon deer park bottles for the past 4 years for my freshwater tank and its getting to much for me any suggestions. Also are there any other products I should get making the switch to tap water/anything in general that will do my tank good. Thanks I appreciate it fitz548192 2008-12-22 Answer no. 1 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#2 I always swear my Seachem Prime, a bottle may seem dearer initially but you need such small quantities it lasts for ages, I run a 100 gallon tank and do 12 gallon daily water changes but a 500ml bottle lasts me a year. mickey 2009-01-03 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#3 can u tell me what are ya talkin abt........ surya_kant13 2009-01-07 Answer no. 3 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#4 water conditioners, to lock the chloramines and nasties before you add the water to the tank Please don't tell me you don't use any? mickey 2009-01-08 Answer no. 4 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#5 hmmm mickey i use "a blue medicine" is that a tap water conditioner surya_kant13 2009-01-09 Answer no. 5 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#6 not sure what you mean, the only blue I know is methylene blue. mickey 2009-01-09 Answer no. 6 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#7 its kinda a blue solution that i put in water after every change of water..........its used for preventin white spots on the fishes surya_kant13 2009-01-09 Answer no. 7 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#8 so what do you use to lock the nasties as it sounds like you are adding a fungicide mickey 2009-01-11 Answer no. 8 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#9 YES UR RIGHT IS THAT A TAP WATER CONDITIONER surya_kant13 2009-01-11 Answer no. 9 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#10 a fungicide will not lock the chloramines etc. change to a commercial conditioner like prime or aquaplus mickey 2009-01-12 Answer no. 10 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#11 can u tell me how it is used and what are iits commercial names surya_kant13 2009-01-12 Answer no. 11 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#12 everytime you do a water change add the recommended dosage The most common ones I can name are Seachem Prime Tetra Aquaplus Stresscoat-not sure who makes that one mickey 2009-01-13 Answer no. 12 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#13 thanxxx a lot for ur reply............ surya_kant13 2009-01-13 Answer no. 13 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#14 Cycle, Stress Coat+, Stress Zyme, etc. Go to www.drsfostersmith.com There you will find an extensive catalog of chemical treatments you may need depending on what kind of tank you are setting up. pianomanjcg 2009-01-17 Answer no. 14 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=tap-water-conditioner#15 dont use stress zyme as a conditioner, it is just bacteria for cycling tanks. mickey 2009-01-17
