They are getting along well. but i started off with 6 guppies and in the first few weeks 3 of them died. I wanted to try to breed. i Have 3 male guppies. If i buy some female guppies will my aquarium be too crowded. Judging by what i see now there is heaps of space. Also what is the ratio of female guppies to male guppies that should be in the aquarium and how do i know what a female guppy looks like? Inbreeding will occur under such circumstances though, so I'd solve the question "What to do with the babies" firstly. 1 male : 3 females is a good ratio. Female is bigger than male, also is less coloured and her fins aren't that beautiful. jan 2011-10-19 Answer no. 2 http://forum.aqua-fish.net/?topic=how-much-in-an-aqurium-is-enough-#3 spam removed. last modification by jan xinggu 2014-03-07
