The Tank was set-up yesterday with a fluval u2 filter. I fully cleaned the sand before placeing this into the Tank. I have been reading, and quite a lot off people have reported Sand as been a bad move as very hard to keep. Also the Plants dont grow well in Sand, have I made a bad move in setting the Tank up with Sand. Please could someone advise if this will cause more problems then good. I also would like to place plants into the Tank, however reading what people have said has got me confused on what plants work if any. I was hoping to start adding fish next week. The point is to use sand AND another type of substrate too. Sand can be a top layer while there'll be gravel at the bottom. Plants will grow and will root easily. jan 2011-08-21
