PH is 7. I do water changes weekly and add fertiliser weekly. have two lights now as first plants grew towards the one only white light so installed scond white light instead of the red light that came with the tank. tank is 5 months old but only started on plants for last 2 months. slow at start now 18 plus plants in and around. But i have alge growing on the slower growing plants. tried to upload some photos. Its green fluffy on edges of plants but green spots on the bigger leaves. some plants do not seem effected. the red leaves and fast growing ones. i have to clean the glass tanks every 3 days. they are not heavy but if you look close you can start to make out the alge so i clean them. have a timer on lights to restrict lighting to 8 hrs. i try and rub the alge off weekly as i clean tank and cut worst effected leaves out every now and then. Have brought zebra snails and bumble bee snails to help eat the elge. Have a cat fish and 6 loaches to clean bottom. what should i do to get rid of the alge or is this a case of live with it. am i over worrying about the alge or have i set things up wrong. jasper 2013-03-29
