I have a 50 gal tank with 15 tiger barbs and one small red tailed black shark to which I recently added 5 "mystery snails". Three were gold and two were a pretty brown. They seemed very happy for several weeks, then suddenly I began finding empty shells. I only have one left. I think my other fish were too aggressive and ate them because they were fine crawling around one day then the next day gone. I have learned my lesson, but my question is this: The shells are so beautiful,; is there any harm in keeping the empty shells in the aquarium?

If you have hd no complications by now, I assume that it is OK to keep them in there... just my humble opinion!
