hi all ....

totally new to tropical fish and i love it Tongue ...got given a tank and planned to sell it...ended up with somebodys mollies breeding loads of fry going to flushed if not homed Angry wish people would breed animals more responsibly !! they are not "just fish" so we ended up setting up a nursery for all the molly fry when they were big enough we rehomed them all but 3 ... Biggrin but being as its 150l tank and its already set up now seems a shame to waste it and its far to big for just 3 fish Wink so got 2 peppered corys and all 5 have been happy for a couple of months but was thinking that it was looking a bit dull ....got some nice live plants ..still not enough ...so got 4 male guppys....well i never realised what randy little buggers they are my poor mollies (3 females) it turns out are getting so harrassed Sad now i did research them but obv not enough as it seems i either need to get rid of the guppys (got so attached to them now ) or put in a load more females so at least they will leave my mollies alone but i dont want to breed unwanted babies...but i also wanted to get some neon tetras around 10 but i think with the extra guppys and the neons it would be over crowded as its a square tank ... any advise would be great please x

You can simply wait for the Guppies to die once they get too old, or you can find some local aquatic forum so you can give them away to someone else. Or simply get another tank and house the Guppies there.
the developer of http://www.aqua-fish.net Cool

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .

Go to Petco, they adopt many breeds of fish, or your local ma/pa fish house. They may even give you some fish food in exchange. I often buy adopted fish and shrimp, the prices are very acceptable!

Every cm of the fully grown fish needs 1,5 liter of water. :)
Now you can calculate the right balance of fish for your tank.

Cheers, and have fun!
