Here are some informations about saltwater tanks: http://www.aqua-fish.net/saltwater/ - down on this site is an article about marine tanks. But basicly you need a lot of equipment even for a small tank, because marine fish are less hardy than freshwater. Zuzana

Equipment needed to start the largest tank you can afford, it will keep your water parameters more stable. Powerheads to create a water flow around the Live Rock,without this you will get die back from the rock and it wil poison the water. A good refractometer to measure the salinity of the water. A protein skimmer once the tank is cycled to remove the waste from feeding the fish and any dissolved organic solids in the water (DOC's) A reliabe test kit to check your water parameters( make sure its for saltwater and not freshwater) http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
