I recently bought a trio of guppies to add to my community tank.
As it turns out the guppies were carrying a disease! Dead It infected other fish in the tank and before I knew it, most of the fish had died! The last two fish died three days ago. I've now taken the tank into my backyard and cleaned the gravel. I plan to let the tank sit in the sun for a day or two and then get the filter system up and running. I also want to start a nitrogen cycle in my tank

My first first question is, in your opinion what is the best way to start a healthy Nitrogen cycle to keep ammonia and Nitrite levels down?

My second question is, by leaving the aquarium and gravel in the sun, will it eliminate the disease and sterilize my tank?

And if not, how should I sterilize my tank?

Thankyou very much to anyone who answers these questions Bye
