Hi all :)

I have 3 goldfishes in my aquarium for like 2 weeks.
Last 2 days, one of them is very passive. She is standing almost at highest level of the water, close to the filter and she is very calm. Other two are active and everything looks good with them. She is active only when I feed them or get close to the aquarium, but other times she is almost not moving.

Help please. Should I be concerned?

there could be a couple of things wrong here. It might be taking the fish longer to settle in than the other two as hiding near the filter is a sign on timidness, but the good thing is the fish is eating.
Spend a bit of time at the tank to see if the other two fish are bullying, thids could be unsettling and causing the problem.

Hi mickey and thanks for your reply :)

I brought them together and she used to be very active and staying together with the others in the beggining, she just started to "show off" lately. She still stands most of the time there (unless I approach the aquarium or I feed them... she then acts perfectly normal). I noticed she is doing something above the filter, like eating something(?) but couldn't get a better look

I have a question regarding gold fish. I have a very large fantail goldfish in a tank alone. I put a chinese algae eater in to keep the tank clean and now the algae eater is chasing the fish and sucking on its tail and sometimes on its sides. Is this dangerous to the large goldfish or will he be able to survive these attacks?

New questions should be posted as separate topics!!! If you visited our page devoted to CAE: http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=chinesealgaeeater then you'd find out that these fish aren't very peaceful towards fish that don't know how to strike back.
