5X 2" fish would be the maximum. General stocking rule is 1" fish per gallon of water http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk

hey......if u have just started maintaining a aquarium you should start from small and low cost fishes...... so this will help u to start off very good.... even if a fish dies ur losses will be lesss......so i will advice to buy fishes like tiger barb..gold fish..parrot(small size),sucker cat fish etc.....hope u would follow my reply..take care....and congratulations for a new aquarium...

fish should not be valued on their monetary costs. Goldfish requirea coldwater tank, bot a tropical tank. Cycle your tank with a fresh prawn purchased from a store as it decays it will start off the cycle http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk

hey dude........ i am not valuing them on their costs.......but more precious is what one has to see the financial stability.......moreover if u buy a too costly fish and u dont know how to maintin it what will u do .......so its not abt cost i was talkin i was talkin abt the experiance....ok

that's cool, I have moved onto the fishless cycle movement I have had far better results cycling with either using neat ammonia or decaying prawns, I find it allows a quicker stocking in the long run. http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
