I have just got a tank with seven goldfish to start with. It has been only a week and a very foul odor is coming from the tank and I am unable to figure out the problem. And what everything you have in that aquarium? And how strong filter you have? The odor can be the normal odor of the aquarium, but it isn´t very strong. Then it may be the excrements of the fish or the water. Mostly you get rid of it with a adequate strong filter.
