Hi everyone, I am a beginer at collecting and breeding fish and I am really exited because I am getting the fish when the water is ready, (next day probably) and I have only 1 teeny problem. I can’t figure out what fish to buy. I was thinking about gold fish? Nah. Red barbs? Nah. Neon tetras? Maybe. I have a 10 Gallon fish tank with a OK amount of plants. I need a species of fish that is tolerant of other fish. Easy to breed, and colorful and exiting. Being in a school would be ok too. Please respond quickly.

Hello Steven,

My tip:

Bloodfin tetra, Green fire tetra and Bristlenose catfish.

Goldfish NOT because they grow large. Barbs could be fine, but they may become aggressive sometimes. Some Barbs are aggressive at all. Neon tetras - Good ones Biggrin .

But if you want to breed them, let’s buy Guppies or Splashing tetras.

Hello Steven.

Try the Panda cory species. They’re beautiful and even it’s not easy to breed them for a beginner, you’ll find them to be great addition to your tank. If you have a bit of luck, they will breed too Biggrin .

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .
