Guppies’ eyes get dark

My Guppies males’ eyes get dark sometimes. Their eye lids (good term?) get completly brown/black in a moment. After a few seconds, it disappears and it looks normal. Is it anything bad, or is it normal? Does it apply to males only? Maybe hormons? Does anybody have any experience of this kind?
