Can anyone ID this aggressive little one? About 3 inches long now. Was bullied by similar fish with a red throat area. This one now has it's own tank. Too confident now for the discus tank. I searched through several freshwater aquarium fish books and thousands of cichlid photos on the internet and I was not able to identify exactly what your fish is. I had theories that it might be a light colored flowerhorn but I was not convinced. So I printed out your picture and took it to several different pet stores that specialize in freshwater aquarium fish. Each one said it looked like a flowerhorn and you did say it was an aggressive fish. Jan says it might be a mixture of a flowerhorn and some other type of cichlid. You might never be able to know for certain.
