Ok. I have a planted 20 gallon with 5 neons,2 guppies, and 3 ottos. My guppies torture the neons. This stresses the neons. Every time I feed the fish my guppies chase the neons to the back of the tank and eat all the food. Theres a twist, the guppies are babies! They are smaller than my tetras!!!! Is there any way to calm down my guppies. I hope they don’t grow up to be murderers Dead ! I can’t add more tetras. I do have a free 11 gallon I could move them to, but that’s a last resort. Once I get this settled down, what other tetras could I add?

Hello Wink ,

My Guppies are very curious too. They try to harass Tetras, but Tetras are faster than Guppies, so they simply swim away. Unlike your fish, my Guppies are adults already. How long do you keep them together?

In my experience Guppies won’t be murders. However, continuous and never-ending harassment might lead to diseases or unhappy fish. If problem continues or if it gets worse, you should move Guppies into another tank.

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .

out of all the tetras, neons are classed as timid fish,go for cardinals, better colouration and can hold their own Wink
