see "maintainence of water quality and temprature requirements "is the only way to raise them.......and also moreover they donot live for a long time in a small space a big space is necessary for their growth

give them a high protein diet as well for growth, newly hatched brine shrimp loaded with Infusoria or hard boiled egg yolk, dampened and squeezed through a cloth. Plenty of water changes as well

I currently have over 200 baby guppys. My only advise I can give is this, as soon as they are born I place them in a seperate tank for them only. The adults tend to eat the young if there isn't lots of oxygen weed for them to hide in. Their tank only has corner filters, no air stones, plants or electrical light. There are also snails in the tank to minimize the build-up of waste and algae. I do not change the water until the tanks' fish are large enough to be placed with the adults. Crushed food flake and minced Ox heart
is what I feed them twice daily.

We used to keep guppys, and when they were about to birth them we would put the MOM in a netted area at the top of the tank, and after she has them put her back in the tank. and raise them in the netted area until big enuff to put in the tank with the rest of the fish.
