hi. i have just began keeping discus after 3yrs of keeping a simple tropical comunity tank. I have designated a tank for discuss which is 140ltr or 31 gallon. So far so good and fish appear happy. My question is how many discuss can this size tank handle. I currently have 2 but it seems a little empty. I do not want to breed. My two play up to eachother often, How can i sex them? Will appreciate any feedback or advice. simon.

Each Disus fish will require 10 gallons of water volume and as they should be kept in groups of 6 minimum the smallest tank that you should really keep them in is 60 gallons.
You can't sex Discus properly unless their tubes are showing when they are spawning
