So nice to find this site Biggrin Well to make along story short I am having to give the 9 goldfish I rescued from a terrible small pond a year ago. They have become huge! I love them much, but for them the local Sierra Gardens pond will be a great home. So . . . now I'm thinking of starting again with freshwater tropicals and do need some advice:
My 50g is cycled and clear but what are good water conditions for tropicals?
I know I'll need a heater.
What would you recommend as tropicals to put together and how many? Peaceful preferred. Thank you so much.
Am also thinking of goldfish fancies, but also get BIG!

Platys and guppies are colorful and peaceful. Neon tetras would also get along with them well, as long as you have a shoal.

Do plenty of research before you make a decision, there are loads of sites with fish profiles on them, I agree with the Guppies and Platies but neons need to be added to a mature tank.
