I am Carol. I live on the outskirts of Fairbanks, Alaska. Fairbanks is about in the middle of Alaska. (Which by the way is 2 and 1/2 times the size of Texas!)

It is about -20F right now. The sun came up about an hour ago. But we are on the gaining side of winter solstice now, and we will gain about 4 minutes a day of possilbe sunlight until summer.

I live in a log cabin with my husband. We haul our water. I use Culligan water for my aquarium. It is not as difficult as you might think to keep an aquarium without running water, but it is a challenge.

I just posted a topic in the Help section, as I think I really messed up and my fish are dying. If anyone can help please post a response!
