It can be 20, but also 40. Sometimes it can be even less than 10 if she's not in good conditions.

Once they start producing fry, they will then have fry every 28 days

younger fish tend to have smaller numbers 5-10 is not unusual for a very young fish, as they mature the numbers do increase, and can have over 100 although this is quite rare, however older females in excellent condition and with ideal water and temprature can, fish in poor condition will always produce less fish and the survival rate is much lower too.
