I’ve had my Red Devil for about 5 years. He was a 5 inch juvenile. He’s always been active and a joy to watch. About 2 months ago, his pleco that’s always been with him died. He eats less and has been less active with the new one. About 2 weeks ago, the motor in my filter died (it was one that’s on the back of the tank). I also have an undergravel system with powerhead for alternate oxygen and water circulation, which continued to run. The water didn’t gunk up, and all seemed fine. It took me about 5 days to get a replacement filter (we’re rural). The last few days, Diablo hasn’t eaten, and seems very lethargic. I’ve also noticed scrapes on him. I’m suspecting now that he can’t see. He isn’t reacting to anything outside, and is bumping into rocks and the glass for no apparent reason. He reacts only when I touch physically touch him. He doesn’t seem to see my hand when i put it near him. He’s just drifting around the tank. It is so hard to see him like this, Diablo is a member of the family. Can anyone help? I hate seeing him suffer.

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .
