Definitely no. Go and buy another 7 at least. You’ll see how happy they will be. After introducing them into your tank they should be shy for a few hours, but after they become friends with currently kept specimens they’ll swim, eat (and simply everything) together . This is my personal experience. My ex had 5 Neon tetras in her tank and it was terrible sight. the developer of http://www.aqua-fish.net Yes, I am very busy. agree there Jan,neons should nrver be kept in groups of less than 10.Not only does it look better but as they are a timid fish it will give them agreater sense of protecting themselves , swimming around in larger numbers. Neons should never be added to an immature tank either http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
