We have articles about Bettas... click "search" within the navigation menu and type "betta" there. I'm sure you'll find valuable information Wink .

Hey fish girl i recommend a 20 gallon tank with a variety of foods and waterconditioner. First you will need live blood worms and betta pellets and or flakes. Then you should get many hiding places in the tank and in the water conditioner you should get ALMONDLEAF EXTRACT if you want to breed them. Also if you want to breed them you will need a heater and a filter and water oxygenator. Then Jan is right you will need to find an article on breeding because i cant explain it in little words. Finnally that should be all you need to keep a betta fish.

First, I'd recommend buying a good betta care book. This will be very helpful and I strongly advise purchasing one.

A few basic guidelines:
-A tank, at least 2.5 gallons per betta (you should never mix two males or a male and a female; two females are the only kinds that can live together)
-A filter
-A heater and thermometer
-Gravel
-Plants (plastic or live); decor (such as driftwood, caves, etc., but make sure the fish has room to swim around!)
-Water conditioner
-A water quality test kit
-Aquarium salt (great stress reducer and general tonic)
-A high-quality pellet or flake feed

Good luck!
