Hi
I got my boyfriend a new tank for xmas (after several not so suitable hints!)
I found this on the practical fishkeeping website whilst doing some research and it looks quite good
http://www.tankguard.co.uk/
it's called tank guard and it stops algae building up, it seems to work really well, has anyone else used it?
the fish keeping this is more his thing than mine so any advice would be much appreciated
thanks

I only wish we had been aware of Tankguard before filling our own marine tank! Since learning about it we have successfully sold the larger kit on larger tanks, and will continue to- very worthwhile for ongoing cleaning.

It is good but have never had to use it, its always been anunneccessary expense that can easily be replaced by keeping the tank clean thorugh the proper maintenance
