Hello all, I am a Single Mom of two kids, and we have just started the fish keeping hobby. Through trial and error I have learned a few things. One, it is a waste of money to try and keep a 3 gal tank, if you want a community aquarium. May be great for a beta, but not for all fish. They are a lot more work, than they are worth as well.

So, we upgraded to a glass 10 gal. As of right now, we have a gold barb and a pleco. We also have a plant, but the name escapes me. So far they are doing well in the 10 gal.

My boys and I watch Tanked, and get some really great ideas. However, I know we have to work our way up to being able to take care of some of the freshwater beauties that are featured on the show. (ie Angles)

Being that we have a gold barb already, what sort of fish would you recommend for a community tank? We would like a bottom, middle and high swimmers to add variety.
