hi all; i have just got into the hobby, and started with some red bellie piranha, i hope to get them to breed. any advise would be a big help. i have a 160 g. tank, good light, plants with a sand substraight. 4 growing piranha, about 50 guppies for food and chew toy, ghost shrimp for clean up, as well as 1 cory and 2 oto catfish and 3 chinese algae eaters.
all seems well now water quality is good, only a little fin nibbles, not sure if it's play or dominance.
thanks for this sight and any help
any help on piranha breading would be great

You will need to sperate the breeding pair from the group. Females are thicker in their body shape than the males. Subdue the lighting and keep the water quality high, they will dig pits for laying the eggs in.
