Hi, I have purchased new aquarium which contains water volume of (30 x 15 x 15 inches), please let me know the species of fishes and the number of each species to be put in the aquarium.Initally on some bodies advice I have put 8 black small mollys to beginwith.Also let me know the number of grains per fish of fish food to be given. At the time of installation of the aquarium the chemicals namely Anti ich,Anti chlorine and General aid was mixed in water.the water has turned green.Air pump and filter is working since 36 hours,but the water has still the greenish tintch,advice how the water will maintain the natural colour.also advice if the air pump and water filter is to be kept running continuously Regards Anoop Sponsored links

Several points here, why add anti-ich to a new set up? The green colouration is an algal bloom and is because the fish were added before the tank was cycled. I don't run air pumps in my tanks as they can upset some fish. The mollies you have added would be fine in the size of tank you have but the tank needs to be cycled first. Your filter should never be turned off unless its for cleaning. http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
