Hello, I can not seem to find anything or find anyone who can help me. I recently bought a red parrot Cichlid from petsmart. I have a 36 gallon tank and all of my water levels (ph, nitrates, hardiness and temp are all perfect). She just slowly started developing black around her mouth and small black specs on her body. She won't eat and is very irritated and rubbing up against everything. The man at petsmart stated I needed to treat her for ick and gave me super ick cure. Fish can go without food for up to a month so sorting out the problem should take priority. Have you tried the medication you were advised about and if so has it helped. http://www.fishtankforum.co.uk
