Airstone is basically an aquarium equipment that diffuses air from the air pump and that is how air bubbles are formed in your aquarium. Goodgrief

Airstones are basically made up of compressed ceramic or glass beads and they are available is various shapes and sizes. An airstone has to be connected to an air pump to perform its function.

Small airstones are used to power undergravel filters and the large airstones are for decoration only. Ralf
