Greetings Bye ,

I know there are lots of resources on this topic, however I’d like to get some suggestions. My new tank is 60x30x30 cm and I’m not sure which filter I should use. Since my wallet is doesn’t allow me to buy any expensive equpiment, I tend to use classic foam filter. The thing I’m asking: Is there any rule to say what size of foam to use? I don’t want to over-populate, or over-plant my tank, so something ordinary should work Wink .

Thanks,

Jane

I think that 10 percent volume of aquarium will be enough. In your case it is about 0,5 liter.

Hi Wampa, thanks for your help! Cool I’m going to buy a foam right now. Will let you know how my tank runs later.
