Escargots or garden snails are edible, but snails exposed to pesticides in the gardens are extremely harmful and great care should be taken before eating snails by washing and cleaning them properly.

Romans started eating snails and introduced a variety of snails to British people and after that people living in US started eating them.

Snails are normally boiled in salted water along with lots of herbs and garlic.

How about snails kept in fish tanks?

I don't know that much on the subject but I would guess that you probably shouldn't eat them if you used chemicals in the aquarium. Also, if you bought them from the pet store you'd never know if they used chemicals in their tanks.

Im sure you can but why?? They are too small and they keep your tanks clean as well you can feed them to other fish like Koi Goldfish etc....bigger fish enjoy them alot.
