Common name-Bala shark,tricolour shark

These fish originate in Thailand,Borneo,and Malaysia
They have a long slender body with a sloghtly downward facing mouth.Nearly all of the fins have a black edging,the front of the fins are usually yellow or orange.
Adult size-up to 16 inches
Min. tank size-48 inches
Middle swimmers
PH-5.8-7.8
Dietary needs-will accept most foods,occasional live foods for a treat.
Temperament-peaceful tank dwellers,prefer to be kept in groups.The tank should have lots of live plants but with open swimming areas.Temp should be between 73 deg.-79 deg.
These are excellent jumpers, so a lid should be fitted.
Too often these are sold as juvenile fish and kept in too small a tank,the ideal size tank for a fully mature adult should be up to 72" in length.
