I just acquired some large stones with fossils in them and they come from Morocco. They are polished on some areas and raw on others.

Is there a way to check if they will affect the ph or anything else in my tank ?
And what should I clean them with ?
I'm not sure about boiling them , bc I dont want them to crack.

thanks in advance
