I have a osphronemus goramy in my tank but it has developed teeth on the outside of his lips is this normal or is it a different type of giant gourami

i've since heard that the gourami is called ( osphronemus exodus) and as far as i know they are very rare. The only other ones i've heard of are in the London Aquarium

I didn't! I actually work in a shop that the fish was bought into as it was eating all of the fish in the persons tank and so we took it in. We first thought it was osphronemus goramy but a good friend of mine Tom Halveson told me it was an exodus '' a very rare fish''. It is at the moment sharing a tank with two psuedoplatystomas faciatum (tiger shovelnoses) and a 8'' common plec, he feeds on frozen lance fish and he has a good quantity of spirolina pellets and he has grown twice his size in about 4 months now being about 10'' long if i can get a photo of it i will send you a copy.
