If you have baybe guppys, you can feed them with some small powder food and they need a lot of hiding places, because they can be easily seen as a snack for other fish, even for their parents. I have seen, that a good hiding place is java moss.

I just keep my tank heavily planted. I use fake plants, and a small, fake little coral piece for them to duck behind. I've got twelve, happy little survivors without using a breeding net, in a ten gallon with six adults that like to munch they're young. I feed them hand crushed fish flakes and they're fine. Good luck. Oh, and they survive better if you keep them in with the adult guppies. Personal experience.
