I am doing a project and I want to hear your stories about why you love having fish! you always hear people talking about why they love their dog/cat but what about our un-furry friends? any stories would be great!

Hi!

I love fish because watching them how they live happily, how they breed, how they eat and how they play is so fascinating! I love the Panda Cory species especially since they look like friends in my aquarium.
the developer of http://www.aqua-fish.net Cool

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .

I love fish as I am fascinated by them, I love knowing the fact that I am doing everything I can to keep them as happy as possible, When they start breeding then I know that I have acheived what I wanted to do.
And to foll Jan's post I love panda corys as well, they make me laugh with their antics.

because they dont get fur everywhere, they can live alot longer, their food doesnt smell as bad, they are cute and relaxing to watch, they are great for cildren to learn about feeding/cleaning/'the circle of life' and they dont need a garden, and if you work hard at keeping the it is very rwarding, especially if you rescued them from a bad petshop.

I fully agree with weirdartist and I maybe would add, that the whole tank, if you care properly, looks like a peace of nature in your living room and you can watch the natural life right behind the glass.
I think that the best thing is, when your fish breed and you know, that they are feeling good.
And I like Angelfish wery much. They always want to know what is going on Biggrin

I love my fish because im just 13 and I like to take care of it. It makes me feel good that I got my fish from a petshop that had it in a little plastic container his name is mambo and he has lived for about 3 years now. And i just got a guppy fish that was nearly dead and am currently getting it healthy again i named her annie. They may not be the prettiest or most fun pets but they have value if you really care about them. Biggrin

I think they are some of the prettiest, bright colours, patterns and textures in all sorts of shapes. Good post though! it is important to feel some responsibility as well as enjoy our fish. Good luck with nursing the guppy :)

Aquariums are my pet of choice mostly because it's in-house. I always raise and breed cichlids. Those fish have such personality it's incredible, and it's inbred, handed down from their lineage!!! (Such as bettas, those fish don't know why their fighting but it's in their blood and their blood says KILL ANY MALE YOU SEE!!!! FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!) In actuality a fish tank is what you created. I have recently had some grandbabies (Red Jewel Cichlids) and I purchased a 125 Gallon tank and CAN'T WAIT to get it up and running. I LOVE MY FISH!!!

I so love fishes too...... They can be helpful to ease your stress, your problem for example. I also have fish on my facebook, bwahahahaha That's how i love fish!

Here's tip to take care of your fish:

Try not to stress out your fish. This includes putting your hand in the tank when you don't need to, touching them, or jumping near the tank.
Don't wait for the perfect moment... Take the moment and make it perfect...

Love When I was a little girl I had super bad nerves....My mom got me a goldfish and i would stare at it for hours it calmed me so much I ve had them all my life. When I learned to breed i was even more filled with joy knowing I raised babies and they were my pride and joys because Ive lost 7 babies myself,so I had a sense of loss, but breeding fish seemed to yet again help me to relax and get over not being able to have children of my own.I am a good mother to all my fish, they are spoiled rotten.Im getting very good at breeding so much that i sell them to fish stores and people who pass my test of how they treat them at home. They have given me so much joy and closure.Thank you God for giving me this if not children of my own.

Cool I love my fish because they help me start my day, calm me as I watch their graceful moves and in general I am enthralled with their beauty. I never tire of watching them and I usually sit with them and feed them while having my morning coffee, great way to start my days!

I have a red male betta, 6 neon tetras, 2 mystery snails and an algae eater that is maybe 2 and a half inches long. He looks kind of like a banjo catfish.

Other than that I have some beautiful rocks and some plastic plants along with a filter that makes lots of bubbles and a thermometer to make sure we are all comfy.

I have a goldfish and a betta fish and I LOVE THEM first of all for their personalities. It's cute to watch their different personalities unfold!
Secondly, I love their beautiful vibrant colors. No other animal I've seen has such rich, full coloring. It is so calming to watch them.
I also love my fish because it's so fun to take care of them and then see the product of my work in beautifully clean tanks, fresh water, and healthy fish.
