Happy new year everyone
I wonder if anyone can help me on 2 items
1 I'm setting up a 220 L tank fish only, filtering with live rock 25k is the norm but is there a limit on how much.
2 I'm not sure if I should buy a uv some say yes some say it does more harm destroying good bacteria

I personally would never run a UV on any closed system. MY view is that it turns your fish into wimps and they become reliant on it rather than building up their immune system
As regards LR as long as you have added the minimum ammount reqd, any extra is a bonus

could be the food as I use Tetra Prima for the discus and it stains water, because I do daily water changes its not a great problem for me. Do you run carbon in your filters?
